The State Library of Ohio, located in Columbus, OH, is seeking a leader for the position of State Librarian.  The State Librarian directs & oversees the operations, programs, & grants of the State Library by serving as its executive director and appointing authority.  The State Librarian advocates for Ohio’s library community, directs Ohio’s library development program & other library programs, and works closely with legislators on funding issues & programming initiatives.

This position requires an MLS from an ALA-accredited program. The ideal candidate will have 7-9 years professional library experience including a minimum of five years experience at the administrative level.
