Make a Resolution or Three

By Ann Walker Smalley | December 31st, 2008 | Comment?

Here are some easy resolutions for your personal or professional development in 2009.

Resolution #1.

Take a class offered through WJMN. Once you are affiliated with WJMN–which you do at sign up–you can take any of the courses offered to WJMN members free of charge. There are hundreds of courses, with more to come. Classes range from library specific courses to those that teach skills to use software applications. Browse the offerings here. We want you to take the courses; we pay for up to 600 courses a year as part of our subscription. Please use them! Guidelines are in the WJMN Course Catalog.

Resolution #2.

Finish (or start!) the WJMN courses you have already selected. You have up to a year to complete the courses, but don’t wait until the last minute!

Resolution #3.

Join the fun and learning by signing up and doing More Things On a Stick, sponsored by the Minnesota Multitypes. The original 23 Things On a Stick was wildly popular across the state with more than 600 people completing the program. Don’t miss out. You can get ready for More Things On a Stick by doing the readings suggested on the More Things On a Stick Wiki.
