Library 2.0, Technology

All A-Twitter

By MaryAnn VanCura | February 28th, 2009 | Comment?

I was listening to Scott Simon and Andy Carvin orient the 90-something Daniel Schorr to Twitter this morning, captivated by the cross-generation conversation about the use of tweets, and trying to organize my desktop.

Tidbits from the conversation: Twitter is the new water cooler, the equivalent of the historical marketplace where people came together to share tidbids of information about their lives.
And,
How do you encourage people to use new technology? Ask what they’re passionate about and connect them to tools that support that passion.

You might enjoy the video of Dan Schorr’s first intro to Twitter. Or, send him a tweet!
