The State Library of Kansas is proud to present WebJunction’s Spanish Language Outreach Program (SLO). SLO is a training program for librarians, trustees and volunteers working in all types of libraries. Although the context for the training is Spanish speakers, the strategies and techniques you will learn in the workshop can be adapted to any population or community a library wants to target for outreach services. The schedule for the 9 workshops to be offered around the state of Kansas in February and March of 2008 follows. There is no fee for these full day workshops which will include morning snacks, beverages and lunch. Trainers for these workshops are Magaly Vallazza, LaDonna Clark and Janelle Jarboe.
