The Reaching Forward South Conference for Support Staff is being held on September 19 and 20, 2012 in Springfield, Illinois.

Kick off events on Friday commence at two o’clock with an author’s tea that lasts until 4:30. Participants will meet various Illinois authors while enjoying tea and cookies as the authors speak about books, writing, and the author’s life. Autographed books will be on hand for sale. Immediately after the tea join the RFS committee for a glass of wine, chocolate, and cheese. This opportunity to relax and get to know each other is priceless.

Friday begins with registration at eight during which a continental breakfast is served. The keynote speaker is Dan Schneider, speaking on “Fonix of the Future”; he is followed by two educational sessions with three choices each. After lunch, motivational speaker Deb DiSandro presents herself as Dr. Slightly Off and will present “Take Two Ho-Ho’s and Call Me in the Morning”.

The conference wraps up by 2:30 with some great door prizes.
