Letters about Literature Update

The Illinois State Library reports that once again, Illinois is the highest participating state in the annual Letters About Literature contest for students. Every year Secretary of State White promotes the contest and hosts a ceremony for the winners. This is the fourth year in a row Illinois has led the nation in number of students participating. Nearly 6,700 students submitted entries this year; 300 more than last year, and 2,300 more than the next highest state.
