Now that WebJunction has defined competencies for Library Management and connected them to learning resources, they want to know if it makes any difference in the field. To do that, they need a baseline from which to measure progress.

This survey will establish a baseline for the library field by assessing your current level of ability in three selected Library Management competency areas: Budget & Funding, Marketing, and Strategic Planning. In each area, you will rate yourself on a list of skills and knowledge. At the end of the survey, there is a link to the Library Management Competencies page on WebJunction, where you can browse the entire list of management competencies. 

If you spend 10-15 minutes on this opportunity to assess your level of skill in key library management areas, you will also be helping WebJunction determine a baseline of skill and needs for improvement for library management competencies. All data collected is confidential and will not be shared. The survey closes on April 18th.
