FY 2009 Application Deadlines:

Less than four weeks remain before the FY 2009 Form 471 application filing deadline.

This year’s application window closes on Thursday, February 12th, at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Applications must be submitted online or postmarked by this time and date. It is now too late to file a Form 470, which requires a 28-day waiting period, before filing a Form 471 for FY 2009 (From E-Rate Central News for the Week. January 26, 2009)

This issue is also very informative concerning the on-going audits and conditions for “fund recovery.” That means getting money back from schools and libraries whose E-Rate paperwork is found to not be in order.
