2 Days Until Wilson Select Returns

You and your patrons only have two more days to wait until Wilson Select Plus returns to your library! Illinois Library Systems, in cooperation with OCLC and Wilson, are pleased to announce that the Wilson Select Plus database will be available at no charge from August 15, 2008 through September 14, 2008. For those libraries electing to purchase the Wilson Select Plus database, access will continue for 12 months, through September 14, 2009.

On August 15, 2008, the Wilson Select Plus database will reappear in OCLC First Search interface with which you and your patrons are familiar. If you would like to purchase continued access to this database, please see www.illinoislibrarysystems.info/si_Wilson.html. The pricing is the most competitive offer available, showing once again that when Illinois libraries work together, we can accomplish more than we could on our own.

Wilson Select Plus provides online indexing and abstracting of a wide range of high-quality periodicals with all records pointing to full text articles. It is updated weekly and has coverage from 1994 to the present. There are over 1.5 million records from 2,393 sources. We know that for many libraries, the Wilson Select Plus database is the only access patrons have had to full-text articles, making this resource vital to the people of Illinois in meeting their information needs.

Illinois Library Systems are membership-based, regional organizations consisting of academic, public, school, and special libraries. Illinois is served by nine multitype Library Systems, each providing services to participating libraries in its region.
