Fundraising 101: Creating an Annual Fund for Your Library

Description

  • A well-run annual fund is the basis of a development-based approach to fund-raising for your library. The annual fund allows you to identify new donors, upgrade prior donors and make needed improvements to move your library ahead. Within a few years, an effective annual fund can result in major gifts coming your way. Come to this workshop to learn the ABC’s of starting and running an effective annual fund. In addition to library staff, this workshop is particularly suitable for board members, members of your library friends group and other volunteers interested in making your library a better place.

Presenter/Trainer

  • ALS Special Projects Coordinator and RSA trainer John Howard. Prior to coming to ALS, John worked for 17 years in fund-raising and development. He has successfully raised over $20 million for various non-profits
