Will the webinar be recorded and available after the live broadcast? I registered on September 15, but have an urgent conflict tomorrow. (Dr. Tenopir was one of my professors at the University of Tennessee in the mid-1990s and I don't want to miss this very special presentation!)

I love books and am not enamored of the move to electronic collections as I feel it does not take into consideration the needs of the lower socio-economic folks 9of which I am not a part).

There were many other options to balance a budget and not close these facilities. Residents blamed the education budget woes, but in the end it was the selectmen who cut these services. There were many budget lines that could have been cut, with no loss of jobs or service, yet in the end the town loses out.

Consolidation could have happened, if the 'other plan' was given a chance to be heard.

As for Aldrich, I agree with Marion. This is the only library that wasn't hadicapped accessable and is overcrowded already. I am hoping that the selectmens decision wasn't based on the fact that one of its workers is the wife of the first selectmen.

Saboba's Hope is a charity and my friends are voting. Can you lead me to the location where I can see all who have voted.

I can see those who support the Chase program, but I can't find the list of those who have voted.

Because it take about 4 steps to comlete the voting process and some don't complete the process,

The sad part about all this is that just last year we were working on consolidating all three libraries into a newer building.

Aldrich library is not handicapped accessible. Where do the residents of Plainfield go who cannot climb the stone steps?
It is a sad day when a town feels they cannot spend $3.00 per person to keep the doors open to a public library. As a resident of Plainfield I am saddened and ashamed.
