Dosomething.org gives away one $500 grant every week in its Seed Grant category; grants are targeted towards project ideas and programs that are just getting started. These grants can be used to jump-start your program or to realize your ideas for the first time.

The application process is all online; applicants need to create a project posting and fill out an online application. Other requirements include a budget detailing how the $500 will be used and a recommendation from a non-family member.
