Captain Planet Healthy Environment Grants

By Douglas Lord | December 31st, 2008 | Comment?

Captain Planet Foundation’s Healthy Environment Grants focus on hands-on involvement to build a healthy environment and promote an understanding of environmental issues. Generally, the range of grants awarded by the Foundation is $250 – $2,500.

Deadlines for submitting grant applications are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. Proposals are reviewed over a period of three months from the date of the submission deadline.

The program has provided $5,200 in grants to Connecticut institutions since the year 2000.

Plus, for the kids, there’s the Planeteer Zone with the energy conservation game and our intrepid hero’s toe-tapping theme song (”Captain Planet – he’s a hero! Gonna take pollution down to zero!”).
