Grants and Reimbursements, Library Development

Jenny’s Heros Community Grant Program

By Douglas Lord | December 30th, 2008 | Comment?

Former talk show host turned philanthropist Jenny Jones’ charitable program, Jenny’s Heros awards grants to individuals who submit the best ideas for tangible, lasting, community projects.

Past recipients include a Las Vegas special ed teacher who used his grant to start an after school homework help and soccer program, an elementary school librarian who requested and received $8,000 to update her library’s books, and a children’s librarian at the Bolivar County Library in Cleveland, Mississippi who requested and received $25,000 to upgrade all her branches with new computers, workstations, shelving, furniture and giant animal floor cushions.

Be sure to peruse CT WJ’s ‘Additional Grant Opportunities‘ page for more ideas.
