CT Library Community, Library Development

the Bubble Room

By Douglas Lord | December 24th, 2008 | Comment?

Library Journal has a new online feature called the Bubble Room, “where marketing ideas and tools bubble up to the surface,” with Alison Circle*

It has some good ideas, for example Selling the Value of Libraries.

* Alison Circle has directed marketing communications for Columbus Metropolitan Library for four years. Previously she was an Account Director at Jack Morton Worldwide, a global branding agency, and her primary client was Target Stores. Prior to that she was the National Marketing Director for Minnesota Public Radio and “A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor.”

By the way, for links to video clips of Connecticut library luminaries Alice Knapp (director, New Canaan), Kendall Wiggin (State Librarian), Eileen Branciforte (director, Cromwell Belden), and Louise Berry (director, Darien), see LJ’s front page or this link.
