Mother Goose Early Literacy Program Training

Sally Andersen, executive director of Mother Goose Programs, will present a day long overview of the early literacy leaning materials and programs developed at the Vermont Center for the Book.  There are resources for early literacy development (such as “Beginning with Mother Goose or “Especially for Dads”), materials for care givers (”Mother Goose cares about social studies” and a new math and science program developed for use in public libraries (”What’s the Big Idea?”).  There will be an overview of the materials, demonstration and hands on with the materials and in depth discussion about the research base and evaluation of these programs.
